Srinivas (Vasu) Netrakanti – CEO
Vasu has been a pioneer in creating software solutions for scheduling and sequencing problems since 1987. Before he founded Optessa in 2001, Vasu was a co-founder and the CTO of TigrSoft Inc. He also participated in taking the company public on the Toronto Stock Exchange in 1998. He left TigrSoft in late 2000 after its acquisition by Matrikon Inc. Vasu holds an M.B.A. from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India and a B.Sc. from University of Poona, Pune, India.
Ashok Erramilli – CTO and President, Optessa USA
Ashok brings to Optessa over twenty years of experience in devising optimal solutions to engineering and business problems. Ashok has developed algorithms that have been implemented in a number of commercially successful products in the areas of optimization, sequencing and scheduling. Ashok has been a consultant to many North American and European engineering and networking corporations. He was a Research Manager at Bellcore (now Telcordia) for many years. He has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Yale University.
Ronda (Ronnie) Potter – Vice President, Sales and Contracts
Ronnie has 25 years of experience in the fields of telecommunications, software development as well as consulting for large national and international projects. Ronnie was a Manager in Network Planning at Bellcore (now Telcordia) responsible for national and international standards in screen based telephony, ISDN, OSI. In 1995, she co-founded Global ADSI Solutions Inc. (GLADSIS). She left GLADSIS in early 2001 after its acquisition by Aastra Inc. Ronnie holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of University of Adelaide, South Australia.
Bradley (Brad) Baynes – Director of Engineering
Brad has over twelve years of experience in software development and implementation as well as project management. For the past seven years Brad has worked in the area of manufacturing scheduling and sequencing software. He has extensive experience with the design and development of scheduling algorithms and graphical interfaces for scheduling. His more recent experience also includes over four years of working with web-based software solutions. He has successfully implemented software projects in Canada, USA and the UK. Brad has a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and an M.B.A. from the University of Alberta.
Vidya Netrakanti – Director of Finance and Administration
Vidya is an early investor in Optessa and has setup and managed the finance function from the company's inception. Vidya worked for several years as an Assistant Professor of English at the University of Poona, Pune, India. While at the University of Poona, she co-authored a book on business communication published by Orient Longman and used in several universities in India. Vidya received a Masters degree in English Language from the University of Edinburgh, UK as a Rotary Foundation Scholar. She holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of Poona, Pune, India.
Erwin Paes – Director, Technical and Support Services
Erwin has over 10 years of experience in designing, developing and implementing resource allocation, planning and scheduling solutions for the manufacturing industry. He has carried out significant research and development in the fields of Operations Research and Artificial Intelligence particularly in the use of Linear Programming, Constraint Programming and Search Heuristics for real world problems. Erwin holds an M. Tech. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the Indian Institute of Technology (Bombay), Mumbai, India and a B. E. in Mechanical Engineering from Goa University, Goa, India.
