Optessa’s products have applicability in a wide range of
industries.
Optessa
MLS and Optessa
MLP have been designed for manufacturing companies with
the following characteristics:
- With product
variety,
- Producing in volumes,
- On one or more plants,
- Each plant consisting of one more lines, and
- Where sequencing
or ordering of jobs is important
From cars to power train and power equipment to
semiconductor chips, product
variety is increasing due to market requirements,
innovation and competitive pressures. Some models of cars can have
millions of configurations. A simple product like a head liner can have
several types based on number of doors and interior colors.
Auto assembly lines produce from a few hundred to
over 1,000 units per day while truck plants typically produce in the 50
to 200 units per day in a plant. However, power equipment like small
engines can be produced at the rate of 5,000 per day in a single plant.
Sequencing
or ordering of jobs is necessary due to manufacturing constraints or
sequence dependent setups.
